Encrypted Communication

All communication between Ridom Typer Client and Server is encrypted using HTTP via TLS (2048 bit). All communication between the Ridom Typer Client and the cgMLST.org Nomenclature server is encrypted in the same way.

Encrypted Database

Ridom Typer server uses by default an embedded HyperSQL database, which supports encryption of the database files. This can be configured when a new Ridom Typer database is initialized.

By default, the Ridom Typer server database is not encrypted.
